Man from Hull sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a 30 year old woman
He'll serve a minimum of 17 and a half years in jail
A Hull man's been jailed for a minimum of 17 and a half years for the murder of a 30 year old woman.
21 year old Amadeusz Sekula of Lambert Street pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday 2 November 2021, and today was sentenced to life in prison.
Back in March Klaudia Soltys was found with fatal injuries in the home she shared with Sekula.
Senior Investigating Officer in the case, Detective Chief Inspector Rhodri Troake said:
“On Saturday 27 March 2021, Sekula brutally murdered Klaudia Soltys in their shared home on Lambert Street in Hull.
“She was sadly found with fatal injuries by the emergency services who attended to the scene.
“I hope today’s sentencing provides her family and friends with some comfort knowing that Sekula is now behind bars, although no amount of time can take away the pain that Klaudia’s family have had to endure.
“Our thoughts remain with Klaudia Soltys’ family and loved ones. They have asked for privacy throughout the case.
“I’d like to thank them for their support, as well as my team who have worked so hard throughout the case and to the local community for assisting with our appeals and enquiries throughout this investigation.”
