Police have named a man who died after being assaulted at a bar in Hull.

66 year old Edwardo Delgado suffered a serious head injury outside Tam Tam Café Bar - he died in hospital earlier this week.

A 42 year old man from Hull has been charged with his murder.

In a statement, Humberside Police said: "We were called at approximately 1.20am on Sunday 9 July to reports that Edwardo was found to have sustained a serious head injury outside of Tam Tam Café Bar.

"Edwardo was immediately taken to hospital to receive medical treatment where he died from his injuries earlier this week.

"Michael Bangura, aged 42, from Hull has been charged with murder and remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court tomorrow.

"Edwardo’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for their privacy at this time."
