Man charged with murder following Hull stabbing

Police have charged a man with murder following the death of a man in Hull.

22-year-old Harley Robinson is due to appear in court on Saturday (17 September).

It follows the death of Jason Whincup who had died after an altercation on Hessle Road on Wednesday, 31 August.

Humberside Police have issued this statement:

'A man has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Jason Whincup.

'Harley Robinson, aged 22, of Hull has been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday 17 September).

'We were called to reports of an altercation on Hessle Road at around 8:40am on Wednesday 31 August. Upon attending, a man was found to have suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died from his injuries on Friday 2 September.'
