Man charged after acid attack in Hull

A 21 year old has been charged following the incident on Sunday

A man has been charged after officers were called to reports of an assault on Castleton Avenue in Hull at around 1pm on Sunday (23 November 2025).

Liam Best, 21-years-old, of Cropton Road in Hull has been charged with throwing or casting a corrosive fluid with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of Class C drugs, and has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning (Tuesday, 25 November 2025).

It is reported a verbal altercation occurred between two men known to each other before a man threw a substance believed to be acid at the other man’s face.

The man was taken to hospital to receive treatment to injuries to his face which are not thought to be life changing at this time.
