Last updated 22nd Oct 2024
As of Monday 21st october, the eastbound carriageway of the M62 Ouse Bridge, between junctions 36 and 37, was changed to 70mph with the hard shoulder, lane 1 and lane 2 reopened.
The westbound carriageway currently has a speed limit of 50mph, however this too is expected to be running at 70mph from first thing tomorrow morning (Wednesday, 23 October).
There will still be a lane 3 and hard shoulder closure in operation on the westbound carriageway.
The work started in April 2022 after routine investigations identified a partial failure of a joint on the eastbound carriageway.
A spokesperson from National Highways, said:
"We are working hard to reopen lane 3 in both directions and this should be the case for the morning of Monday, 28 October. The westbound hard shoulder will remain closed. Additional overnight lane closures can be expected for finishing works.
