Labour remain the biggest party at North East Lincolnshire Council, and have retained control in Hull.

Labour retains control of Hull City Council and remains the biggest party at North East Lincolnshire Council

The party have 39 seats out of a possible 59 in Hull, and in North East Lincolnshire they held onto to 7 seats.

But the Lib Dems managed to increase their number of seats on both councils.

Counts for the region's Police and Crime Commissioner will start later this morning - we'll give you the latest as we get it.

Nationally, it's been a tough election night for Labour - losing 11 seats in the Scottish Parliament.
