LNER considering direct Grimsby to London train service
It's part of proposals for the 2022 timetable

Rail firm LNER has unveiled plans for the first direct Grimsby to London train service since 1993.
The proposal is part of a consultation for major changes to train timetables in 2022, which launched today (June 11th).
From next May LNER want to run one train per day between Cleethorpes, Grimsby and London via Lincoln.
On weekdays it would leave Cleethorpes at 6:24am and Grimsby at 6:32am, arriving at London's King's Cross at 9:25am.
The return leg would depart from London at 16:10pm, getting back to Grimsby for 19:05pm
One train would operate in each direction between Monday and Saturday, while on Sundays one service would operate northbound, taking passengers between the capital and Grimsby.
The plans are at an early stage and the company says they may 'change slightly'. LNER has yet to decide which stations the train will call at along the route.
It would use the new 5-car Azuma trains introduced to the East Coast Mainline in 2019.
