Life-saving bleed kit used in Orchard Park
Emergency services used one of the city's new bleed kits
A newly-installed emergency bleed kit has been used to help save a life after a serious crash in Orchard Park.
Officers from Humberside Police and Humberside Fire & Rescue were first on the scene and gave crucial first aid to a seriously injured person.
The team used one of the city's new bleed kits to help stop catastrophic bleeding before paramedics arrived.
The kits are part of a project funded through the Leader’s Fund by Councillor Mike Ross and supported by Corey’s Legacy - a local charity set up in memory of Corey Dobbe.
Police say the quick-thinking of officers and the availability of the kit show just how vital they can be in emergency situations.
