Liam Rosenior signs new three-year deal to remain as Hull City manager
The new contract will see him stay in his job until the summer of 2026
Hull City manager Liam Rosenior has signed a new three-year contract with the club, extending his tenure until the summer of 2026.
The Airlie Birds have been in flying form since Liam took over the role last November, and have since become a huge force to be reckoned with.
Under Rosenior's guidance, the team have gone from strength to strength, only losing 14 of their previous 52 matches after Liam took the reins at the end of 2022.
When Liam first joined the club, Hull had been hanging below the bottom of the Sky Bet Championship league table, averaging around 21st place.
Since he took over, however, the Black and Whites have shot up to a respectable 5th place, with the meteoric rise only set to continue.
Part of the 39-year-old's shift in tactics has been the modernisation of playing styles and fostering a new generation of talent that helps to form a team that works well.
Speaking on the deal going through, Liam said he was thrilled to be staying for another three years.
"I’m delighted, there’s no place I’d rather be," he said. "Acun and Tan have done amazing work in my time here and the players and backroom staff have been magnificent.
"Justin Walker and Ben Warner, who I brought with me from Derby, and Daws Andy Dawson and Baz Barry Richardson have supported me unbelievably well. For me to commit my future to the club was never in doubt. I absolutely love it here. We have to make sure this is the start of the journey and, hopefully, a successful one."
Rosenior added that he was looking forward to the future to help capitalise on their historic rise through the ranks.
He continued: "Everything we’re doing, everything we work towards, is completely aligned and that’s why a lot of progress has been made.
"I’m so proud to represent this club as manager and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the next few years hold for us. Hopefully, we can create a lot of really good memories."
