It could take Connexin 14 days to implement pause in installation works
The firm says they plan to work collaboratively with rival firm KCOM
Connexin say they'll be pausing planned installation of their telecom poles in parts of Hull and the East Riding - but it could take up to 14 days for the pause to take effect.
Last night, the firm said they'd be halting works, but some residents in Beverley reported this morning (11/04) that by 07.30 am, work had begun again to install more poles.
Over the last year, the installation of the poles has led to campaigning from some local residents and politicians, including local MPs.
Connexin say they're a "community-focused business" and have "tirelessly campaigned for infrastructure sharing over the past two years".
They say they'll stop installation works in response to rival KCOM's offer last month of discussions around sharing their infrastructure, but added it most work should be paused over the next few days, depending on area.
In a statement, Connexin tell us "as long as KCOM follows through on their offer with concrete processes and pricing for access to their infrastructure, we will continue to do what we believe is best for the community and what we have long campaigned for"
We've asked KCOM for a response, who tell us they're continuing to "work positively" with Connexin and other providers, who wish to access their infrastrcuture.
