Humberside Police are working with forces across Europe to try and catch foreign criminal gangs on our roads.

They'll be stopping people and vehicles at Immingham, Hull and Grimsby docks.

It's part of a week-long crack down called Operation Trivium aimed at targetting possible migrants or illegal immigrants passing through our area to commit crime.

Last time the operation was carried out in May, 9 arrests were made and 24 fines issued.

Sergeant Jeremy Kelly is from Humberside Police and said:

“Anything we can do to remove unsafe and illegal drivers from the roads of the Humber region is well worth being involved in.

“Operation Trivium proves the joint working of British and European Police Officers along with partners from the DVSA, Immigration and HMIC".
