It closed earlier after a lorry blew over.

The Humber Bridge closed both ways earlier today after a lorry blew over.

It fell on to its side whilst travelling across the Humber Bridge northbound just before 3 o'clock this afternoon (Wednesday 6th April, 2016).

It also knocked down a lamppost which blocked the southbound carriageway, causing major disruption.

No one was seriously injured during the incident, however due to the amount of debris, both lanes travelling north and southbound across the Humber Bridge had to be shut.

The Humber Bridge had already been closed to high sided vehicles at the time of the incident.

Fire and Ambulance staff were also in attendance.
