We've spoken to Hull West and Hessle MP Emma Hardy as she paid tribute to the Queen.

She said: Whatever was going on in the world we had that stability and that's what the Queen was - our figurehead."

"And you knew that when the Queen went to meet different foreign officials she would give a positive impression of our country."

"Last week was an incredibly historic week, in no other week in history have we changed Prime Minister and Monarch at the same time - so it's a massive event."

"It's one of the few times the King will come and address both houses of Parliament."

She went on to talk about her hopes for King Charles' reign.

"I hope his reign will see our country leading the way on tackling climate change and reversing decades of environmental loss."

"All the work he did supporting young people in founding the Prince's Trust in 1976, that has helped a million young people develop skills into training."

"What stands out the most is his passion for the environment."

"Right now it is incredibly important we take issues around the environment seriously".

"We've seen this year record temperatures and concerns about future flooding."
