Hull KR star Jez Litten signs new long-term deal until 2029
The Challenge Cup-winning hooker commits his future to the Robins despite interest from rival clubs
Hull KR have confirmed that Betfred Challenge Cup-winning hooker, Jez Litten, has signed a new long-term contract, keeping him at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of the 2029 Betfred Super League season.
Litten, a key figure in the Robins’ spine, has become one of the most consistent and exciting hookers in the competition. The 27-year-old’s re-signing is a major boost for Willie Peters’ side, who managed to fend off strong interest from rival clubs to keep their number nine in East Hull.
Since joining the club in 2019, the West Hull junior has gone on to make 151 appearances in red and white, scoring 21 tries.
Reflecting on his new deal, Litten said:
I’m really happy to stay at Hull KR for another four years after this year. I’ve enjoyed my time here since 2019. It’s exciting.
“The joy we’re having on the pitch and the good stuff going on off the pitch. I spoke with my family and they’re happy. We’re enjoying it here."
Head Coach Willie Peters praised the hooker’s impact, saying:
“Jez is a vital part of our team, he plays an important role both on and off the field. Jez is going into the prime years of his career and I’m sure we’ll see him reach even greater heights both personally and for Hull KR.
“I believe Jez has been the best hooker in the competition this year and he has been rewarded for that with this new four-year extension. Jez has certainly earned the extension through his consistency and his all-in approach.”
Litten, who lifted the Challenge Cup with Hull KR in 2025, will be looking to add more silverware this season as the Robins push for a strong finish in the Super League play-off race.
