Hull forward Andre Savelio has successfully overturned a one-match ban.

The former St Helens and Warrington player was given the suspension by the Rugby Football League's match review panel for a Grade B offence of using his knees in a tackle on Castleford centre Michael Shenton during his side's win over the Tigers last Thursday.

Savelio pleaded guilty to the offence but challenged the grading and an independent tribunal on Tuesday evening agreed to reduce it to Grade A.

That meant no suspension, which frees Savelio to play in Hull's next match against Huddersfield on October 13th - although a £500 fine remains.
