Hull charity says families are struggling to afford school uniforms
RE Uniform says there's already huge demand
It seems the cost of living crisis means many families are struggling to afford school uniforms with a Hull charity seeing demand for their services go through the roof.
RE Uniform recycles school clothing and gives it to families most in need in the city.
One social media post led to huge interest.
Some parents are already starting to panic about getting their children sorted for September.
We put up a post about uniforms from one school and it reached nearly 35 thousand people
We spoke to Susie Steel from the charity.
She told us: "As people get ready for the new school year, especially the little ones starting school for the first time. some parents are horrified to be honest at the cost implicated by that."
"As a parent myself the time I felt as was spending the most on uniform was when my son started at secondary school - and when there's logos on things like the PE kit as well as the coat, the shirt, the trousers then it all adds up."
"We were putting some blazers on a new rail that we had and we realised that we had lots from one school, Mallet Lambert."
"The post went viral and reached nearly 35 thousand people."
