Hospitals under extreme pressure

It's partly due to very high attendances at their emergency departments

The Trust which runs Grimsby, Goole and Scunthorpe Hospitals are operating under extreme pressures due to very high attendances at their emergency departments, increasing numbers of COVID-19 positive inpatients and a high demand for beds.

They say as a result, those who don't need urgent, emergency treatment may have a long wait to be seen.

They're currently working with their health and social care partners to do everything they can to ease the pressure, but say they need your help too.

They're asking people to only attend their A&Es if absolutely necessary and to call 111, or use their online service, first to see if you can be cared for elsewhere.

NLAG say their staff are working tirelessly under very difficult circumstances to ensure everyone is seen and are prioritising those most in need. They're apologising to anyone who experiences a longer wait than usual.
