Heated Lido swimming to return to a Hull leisure centre

Heated lido sessions will begin this week at Albert Avenue Pools & Fitness in Hull.

The pool will open this weekend with three new sessions starting on Friday (2nd May) including a twilight swim exclusively for adults.

There will be a mixture of family and adult only sessions in the week.

Since its opening in August 2023, the outdoor pool and water play area have attracted thousands of visitors from Hull and beyond.

Alison Walker, Director of Leisure Services at Hull Culture and Leisure, said:

“As we head towards the summer months it’s time to turn on the heat in the lido which will be maintained at an average temperature of 28 from early May until the end of September.”

“We’re pleased to launch the heated season with 30 sessions scheduled throughout the week, including the brand-new twilight swim for adults on Friday nights at 9pm.”

The first weekend of the heated lido season will offer a range of sessions to suit different swimmers.
