A man's been charged with the murder of 29 year old Dean Southwick and the attempted murder of an 18 year old man in Grimsby.

19 year old Michael David Preston has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates on Monday

Humberside Police have released the following statement....

Detectives investigating a disturbance in Churchill Way in Grimsby yesterday (Friday October 9), which resulted in the death of one man and serious injury to another, have charged a man.

Michael David Preston (19), of Durban Road in Grimsby, has this afternoon been charged with the murder of Dean Southwick (29) and the attempt murder of an 18-year-old Grimsby man.

He has been remanded in police custody until Monday October 12 when he will appear at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates Court.
