Grimsby Charity Badly Damaged During Raid
The British Heart Foundation is now asking for the public's help in repairing their store on Victoria Street West.
A charity in Grimsby is appealing for the public's help after thieves broke into one of its stores - causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Over £2,000 worth of damage was caused after The British Heart Foundation shop on Victoria West Street was broken into last week.
Police are investigating the incident but luckily no-one was injured.
The charity is now asking for people's support to enable repair work to take place.
BHF Area Manager, Mik Parkin, told Viking FM:
“The break-in has really shaken some of our volunteers and it was a shock for the manager who was the first to see the damage. Cash and belongings were taken and there was significant property damage, so we desperately need support from the local Grimsby community to keep us running.
Without their donations, we risk reducing funding for vital research into heart disease and the support we can offer heart patients in Grimsby. Please join the fight for every heartbeat and donate your unwanted items to the Grimsby BHF shop.”
