The people selling-off the contents of Cleethorpes' Pleasure Island theme park say they will NOT chase-up a man who says he ACCIDENTALLY bid £180 000 for a merry go round.

The unnamed man bid for the century old carousel during the 2 day auction last week, where everything from the now-closed amusement park was sold off in Grimsby.

It's been run by Carl Vince, who says they think it was a genuine mistake, and since the reports of the mistaken bid 3 other potential bidders have shown an interest in the Carousel.

He spoke to our reporter Natalie Bell;

Pleasure Island closed over a year ago, with the equipment, rides and even the tools and prizes being sold off.
