Fuel protest takes place in North Lincolnshire
They're joining others across the country calling for action on prices
Campaigners in North Lincolnshire are today staging a go slow aiming to highlight the rise in prices at the pumps.
It's part of a national protest which is taking place today.
We spoke to the organiser of the North Lincs protest Tariq Akram.
He works for Merc Trans in Scunthorpe.
They've seen costs rise by 250 pounds a week recently.
They go through 10-15,000 litres of fuel a week, and that the prices they're paying now are not appropriate.
He told us: "Unless you're in that particular industry and see the full picture , you're not going to understand the full impact of what they're doing."
"If people break it down on an individual level they'll find they're paying more to go to work."
"At the minute things are tight across the entire industry."
"When we started out a tank of fuel was probably around 470 pounds and that's gone up to 750 pounds."
"That's for a full tank of fuel for a huge truck".
He told us they saw about the fuel protests elsewhere on social media and decided they wanted to do something to address the issue and decided to hold one in North Lincolnshire.
Drivers may find some disruption in the area this morning.
