FLOODS: Hundreds Evacuated In York
It's following rising river levels of Foss and Ouse.
Police and the army are moving hundreds of people out of their homes in York as the city experiences its worst flooding in decades.
Six severe flood warnings are in place in the city - with a further 18 across the north of England.
More soldiers have been deployed to evacuate hundreds of people from their homes - with warnings of further flooding tonight and tomorrow.
In York, around three-and-a-half thousand properties are thought to be at risk.
Water levels are still rising in York - where whole streets are under water.
Police in North Yorkshire are asking people to avoid travelling unless absolutely necessary, because of the flooding.
The force says too many people are putting themselves in danger.
Meanwhile, the government says an additional 500 troops will be deployed to parts of northern England affected by devastating floods.
