Evacuation after bomb threat at Hull school

The Head Teacher of Oakfield Primary has sent pupils home.

Oakfield Primary School in Hull has been evacuated by the Head Teacher today after a bomb threat. Police were called at just before 8.30am to reports - officers are saying that at this time it is believed to be a hoax.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police said:

"We were called at 8.28am this morning (Tuesday 9 May) by Oakfield Primary School, Hopewell Road, Hull reporting that they had received a bomb threat at the school."

"As a precaution the Head Teacher has decided to evacuate the school."

"At this time the incident is believed to be a hoax."

"We are attending to offer reassurance and investigate any offences."
