It's exactly Six months since Russia invaded Ukraine
It's also Ukrainian independence day but there won't be any events in Kyiv in case they're targeted by Moscow's forces.
The two events are being marked across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.
Meanwhile it's been revealed Hull has taken in almost 150 Ukrainians since the start of the conflict.
In North East Lincolnshire the figure's just over 50.
We spoke to the leader of Hull City Council Mike Ross.
He told us: "There's been 149 people who've fled Ukraine and been welcomed into the city."
"That's been families, women and children who've been put up by hosts in the city who have given them accommodation."
"My thanks go out to those people."
"This year Hull will be marking Ukrainian independence day."
"There's a prayer for Ukraine service taking place at half past 6 this evening at Hull Minster."
"Ukraine's flag will be flying from the Guildhall".
"Hull is a welcoming city and we've always recognised how important sanctuary is in times of desperate need."
"The situation with the war in Ukraine is no different."
