Driffield man jailed for sending indecent images of children

Philip Riddiford-Bell, 32 from Driffield pleaded guilty to the Distribution and Possession of Indecent Images of Children.

32 year old Phillip Riddiford-Bell has been sentenced at Hull Crown Court after pleading guilty to the Distribution and Possession of Indecent Images of Children, following a long and complex case that began in October 2014.

He was sentenced to 3 year in prison with custodial sentence with a further 1 year custodial sentence to be served concurrent after also being convicted of Possession Of Extreme Pornography.

He will also be on the sex offenders register indefinitely and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.

His co-accused 30-year-old Aimee Francis Jane Esnee of Weeton pleaded guilty to possession of Indecent Images of children.

She was sentenced to a six month custodial sentence suspended for 2 years.

She was also fined ÂŁ1000 and will be on the sex offenders register and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 7 years.

Humberside Police were made aware of internet activity linked to a specific e-mail address belonging to Philip Riddiford-Bell.

The subsequent investigation uncovered on-line communication and sharing of images with Aimee Esnee who was arrested in May 2015.

Detective Constable June Sarel from Internet Sex Offences Team said:

Their abhorrent fascination leads to the exploitation of young and vulnerable children. I hope this successful conviction serves as a warning to other offenders that they can and will be identified and face justice for their crimes.”
