Local MP for Hull North Diana Johnson is leading a debate in the House of Commons later - calling for more help for people who were infected with contaminated blood.
It was one of the biggest scandals in the history of the NHS - leading to thousands of patients getting Hepititis C and HIV in the 70s and 80s.
There are calls for the government to pledge an extra ÂŁ15m to compensate victims.
Parliament is debating reforms to a compensation scheme for haemophiliacs who were infected with Hepatitis C or HIV.
The Haemophiliac Society claims victims in England will be worse off than those in Scotland - where the government has pledged ÂŁ20m over the next three years.
