A number of prisoners are having to self-isolate at HMP Hull after an outbreak of coronavirus on the site.

We understand that no inmates or members of staff have been taken to hospital.

It's after a number of court cases had to be adjourned on Wednesday as prisoners were due to appear via video link from the prison.

The Ministry of Justice says it's working with Public Health England and is doing all it can to support families.

They're being kept in contact with the prisoners affected, through things like video calls.

The Ministry says it's closely monitoring the situation.
