A council official's been assaulted at Cleethorpes - whilst issuing a fine to a dog walker.

You're not allowed to take dogs onto the beach between Easter and the end of September and 67 people were fined this weekend for doing that.

North East Lincolnshire Council says there are signs up, so there's no excuse for people not to know about the rules - which see people handed a £100 penalty.

The area's a designated site of special scientific interest due to the rare habitats and bird species such as curlew.
