Former York City player and premier league footballer Clarke Carlisle is setting up a mental health awareness charity.

It's to highlight Dual Diagnosis - a term that's usually used to describe someone with mental health problems, and drug or alcohol issues.

The news of the charity comes just months after the 35-year-old's suicide attempt - when he stepped in front of a lorry on the A64 near York.

Now, Clarke's wife Gemma has announced the news on Twitter, saying The Clarke Carlisle Foundation for Dual diagnosis will aim to "raise awareness".
