Car reportedly collides with two pedestrians in Hull
It's believed the vehicle then left the scene
A car has reportedly collided with two pedestrians in Hull.
Around 11.35pm last night (1st June) it's believed a car was travelling down Hessle Road in the city when it collided with one pedestrian and then carried on to Wiltshire Road where it collided with another.
It is thought the vehicle then fled the scene.
A 23-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are thought to be life changing.
A 15-year-old boy was also treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Detective Inspector Amy Keane-Christie from Humberside Police's Criminal Investigation Department said:
“Our investigation is ongoing, and officers have been carrying out a number of lines of enquiries, including speaking with residents and providing reassurance to the local community.
“A road closure was in place at the junction of Hessle Road and Wiltshire Road to allow officers to work safely. I can confirm this has now been lifted.
“As part of our enquiries, we have since uncovered a cannabis grow at a property on Hessle Road, and a scene guard remains in place whilst officers continue with their investigation.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation and urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has CCTV or Dashcam footage of the area around the time the incidents occurred, to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 648 of 1 June.”
