Brother of Hull man killed by drunk driver welcomes proposed tougher laws

Tougher penalites for criminal drivers is expected to be announced today in the Queen's Speech.

Motorists who kill or injure people after driving recklessly will receive harsher punishments.

Sentences given to those who cause death by dangerous look set to be the similar as those given to murderers.

Stephen Blount lost his brother Tony to a drunk and reckless driver in Hull 10 years ago and also nearly died in the incident. He's been campaigning for tougher laws ever since.
