Police are appealing for information after a man suffered life-changing injuries in an assault on Spring Bank in Hull in the early hours of Sunday morning (7 September).

Emergency services were called just after midnight following reports that a group of three people, believed to be two women and a man, attacked the victim and allegedly stole his phone before fleeing the scene.

The 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.

A police cordon remains in place while crime scene investigators continue their work.

Detective Inspector Gary Mathews said: “We understand that incidents of this nature may cause concern within the community, but I would like to reassure people that we are doing everything possible to identify those involved, including reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses.”
