17 year old dies after colliding with tree in Scunthorpe

A 17-year-old boy lost his life in a single-vehicle road accident on Brumby Common Lane, Scunthorpe after colliding with a tree.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding witnesses and dashcam footage related to the incident that happened on 9th March.

A silver Ford Fiesta was heading west on the road at around 10 p.m. when it collided with a tree.

The driver and three passengers were transported to hospital for medical attention, but the driver passed away in the early hours of 20th March.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, Said:

"The boy's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

"We are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or for anyone who has dashcam footage or saw the vehicle prior to the collision to come forward.

"Anyone with information is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line, quoting log 501 of 9 March."
