Pink Floyd's New Album Is Most Pre-Ordered of 2014 on Amazon
It could become the most pre-ordered of all time
Pink Floyd’s first new album in two decades ‘The Endless River’ has become the most pre-ordered album of 2014 so far on Amazon.
Nick Mason and David Gilmour’s first album since 1994’s ‘The Division Bell’ overtook Coldplay’s ‘Ghost Stories’ to take the pre-order top spot.
The upcoming album is also fifth on the list of the most pre-ordered artist albums of all time and could surpass the number one, One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’, by its release on 10th November.
Robbie Williams’ ‘Swings Both Ways’, Take That’s ‘Progress’ and Susan Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ make up the rest of the Top 5.

‘The Endless River’ is the first Pink Floyd album since the death of keyboardist and band founder Richard Wright who died in 2008 and appears posthumously.
The predominately instrumental and ambient album was finished at David Gilmour’s houseboat recording studio Astoria.

Update 3rd November 2014: ‘The Endless River’ has now become the most pre-ordered record of all time on Amazon.co.uk overtaking One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’ to claim the top spot.
