Popular ice skating show Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January 2018 after four years off, and despite the show announcing a great line-up, one celebrity has been forced to quit after picking up an injury in rehearsals.

Although the show doesn't hit our TV screens until next month, the celebrities have met their professional ice skating partners and have been getting to grips with their ice skates in the last few weeks.

Unfortunately, former England cricketer Monty Panesar has been forced to quit the show after sustaining an injury. The official Dancing On Ice Twitter account announced the news when they wrote, 'We are super sad to announce that owing to an injury sustained in training, @MontyPanesar has had to withdraw from #DancingOnIce 2018. You'll be sorely missed Monty - rest up and get better soon 💙'

Monty's replacement has now been announced, the remaining celebrities will now face tough competition from the 'If There's Any Justice' singer Lemar.

The news was announced earlier today, with the message, '⛸️ @Lemar will be taking @MontyPanesar's place in #DancingOnIce 2018, skating with @lemoalmelody. What are his chances? Right about now we're 50/50... 😂🎶' sic.

Lemar, who found fame when he finished third on Fame Academy back in 2002, is raring to get his skates on ahead of the new series.

The 39-year-old has enjoyed a great career in the music industry. Not only has he has seven UK top 10 singles, but he's also sold over two million albums and won two BRIT Awards.

Lemar joins the already star-studded line-up, featuring the likes of Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring, Love Island winner Kem Cetinay and former X Factor star Jake Quickenden.
