EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has quickened the pulses of fans up and down the country with the hint that an ICONIC character could be making a comeback to Walford. Lisa Fowler, played by Lucy Benjamin, was last seen in the Square in July 2017 very briefly, before being sectioned following a series of rows with Phil Mitchell over their daughter Louise.

Lisa has always been such a favourite character of viewers, and when she returned briefly last summer, fans were overjoyed to see her - but Tamzin Outhwaite AKA Mel Owen has said that she would LOVE her to make another return to the show.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Tamzin said that she would be so happy to see Lucy return to her role as Lisa, saying, "Can’t she come back?! I can’t remember the last time Mel saw Lisa, it was fraught. After prison and then going away. I’d love to work with her again, we used to have a brilliant time.

"I’d love Mel to have some female friends. Maybe Ray’s ex wives could stay on – but you wouldn’t would you? It’s weird!"

Tamzin went on to discuss her other on-screen pals, but quickly realised there aren't that many, "Mel and Sharon do have a relationship but it’s quite business minded. I feel they would get on well socially. The other people – like Kat, who is her cleaner. Mel’s a little snobby around the Slaters.

"She doesn’t really have any mates. Ray asks about her maid of honour and bridesmaids and Mel replies, 'Oh yeah, look at the queue of women out there'. She has no bridesmaids. Her mate was Lisa."

PLEASE let this happen!
