Seaside Pro/Am success!

The annual Seaside Pro/Am tournament at Bridlington Golf Club raised £1,350 for Viking FM’s Cash for Kids charity, an amount that could increase further with match-funding.

The competition was held earlier this month and fund-raising activities included a raffle and a ‘hit the green’ challenge.

Charlotte Pickering, charity manager for Cash for Kids, thanked Bridlington Golf Club and competition sponsor Lloyd Dowson Accountants for selecting Cash for Kids as the beneficiary this year.

Cash for Kids reaches out to thousands of children in the local area suffering from abuse or neglect, those who are disabled and have special needs or who simply need extra care and guidance. It specifically funds equipment, treatment and experiences.

Lloyd Dowson have been invited to attend the next board meeting for funding to help decide where these funds will be distributed in Bridlington and the surrounding areas.

Marketing manager for Lloyd Dowson Vanessa Rowbottom said: “We were delighted to make Viking FM’s Cash for Kids the beneficiary for this year’s event. It is important to Lloyd Dowson that the funds raised will help to make a difference to children within the local community.”
