Woman named as murder investigation continues in Burbage

A woman who died after an incident in Burbage at the weekend has been identified.

Police were called to a property in The Coppice at 11.20am on Sunday morning by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

55-year-old Christine Bauld was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

Yesterday, detectives charged a man with murder and possession of a bladed article.

Leicestershire Police say Mrs Bauld’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
