Two seriously injured after crash in Hucknall

Nottinghamshire Police are investigating after a crash in Hucknall which left two people seriously injured.

Police were called to reports of a crash between two vehicles on Annesley Road, at around 9:50am on Wednesday 3 November.

Both sides of the road remained closed for most of the day between Spring Street and Washdyke Lane as officers investigated the incident and worked on clearing the road.

Two people were seriously injured and remain in a stable condition in hospital.

Two further casualties have been discharged.

Sergeant Mark Baker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers attended a collision between two cars on Annesley Road, Hucknall on Wednesday (3 November).

“Our investigation is continuing into determining the circumstances of what happened.

“Two people remain in hospital and are receiving treatment for their injuries.

“We would like to thank local residents and road users for their patience whilst we dealt with this incident and would ask anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV or anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101, quoting incident 165 of 3 November 2021.”
