Two men charged over gunshot reports in Nottingham

Two men have been charged after gunshots were reported in a residential street in Nottingham.

Police were called to Blundell Close, St Ann’s, at 12.25am on Thursday 19 September and later carried out extensive investigations at the scene.

Greg Emakpor, aged 20, has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, arson, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and possessing ammunition without a certificate.

He has also been charged with possessing Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

Kyaron Mitchell, aged 21, has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing ammunition without a certificate, and arson.

He has also been charged with possessing Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

Emakpor, of Newton Aycliffe, Durham, and Mitchell, of Argyle Street, Nottingham, have been remanded into custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 25 October.

Another 20-year-old man was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of arson, firearms and drugs offences and has been released on police bail.

Three other men remain on bail as investigations into what happened continue.
