Two charged with murder after Leicester teenager stabbed

Two 17-year-olds have been charged with the murder of another teenager in Leicester.

Codie Bambrick, 18, was found with stab wounds in Glazebrook Road, New Parks, on Wednesday 22 May.

Codie was treated by emergency services but was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

The males, who cannot be identified due to their age, have also been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit violent disorder.

They are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 25 May.

A third 17-year-old has been charged with violent disorder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to another person and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He is also due to appear before Magistrates.

A 38-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man who were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident have been released on bail.

A 52-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident and was later released under investigation.
