Six year old seriously injured after collision involving coach

His condition isn't thought to be life-threatening

A six-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after being hit by a coach in Leicester.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Walnut Street in the city on Monday afternoon just after 4 o clock to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

His injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening, and no-one else was reported to be harmed.

There were road closures in place whilst emergency services were on the scene.

Leicestershire Police say no arrests have been made, but they're working to establish the circumstances of what happened.

Anyone who might have witnesses the incident is being encouraged to contact police.
