A man has been charged with murder after another man died at a house in Nottingham.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Eddleston Drive, Clifton, at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, where Jonathan Dittia was found with serious injuries. The 40-year-old died a short time later.

His family have since described him as a "gentle giant" who is "gone but not forgotten."

Caine Lonsdale, aged 34, of Lerwick Close, Nottingham, has been charged with Jonathan's murder.

In an update, Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Mr Dittia’s family have been informed of this important development in our investigation.

“Specially trained officers will continue to support the family and the thoughts of the investigative team remain with them.

“I hope the wider community are comforted by our response which has seen this suspect arrested, charged and placed before the courts at the earliest opportunity.”
