Replica shirts of Mary Earps' 2023 World Cup jersey sold out just hours after they were made available online.

Ahead of the World Cup, Nike sold the kits of outfield England players but refused to sell the jersey of the Nottingham-born goalkeeper .

At the time, Earps said the decision was "hugely disappointing" saying it was a "scary message being sent to goalkeepers worldwide that you are not important".

After being awarded tournament the Golden Glove, Nike received huge pressure to put the shirt into production.

More than 170 thousand people signed a petition calling on Nike to do a u-turn.

A limited number of shirts, in all three colours went on sale yesterday 9th October, selling out within hours.

Earps took to Instagram to thank her fans.

She said: "Didn't realise these were going on sale today and you've sold them out already.

"More are coming before the end of the year and in more sizes (kids and adults)- stay tuned!"

"Thank you all for your incredible support on this- you guys made this happen!"

The Lioness played a crucial part in England's journey to the Women's World Cup final earlier this year.

Although England suffered a 1-0 defeat to Spain at the last hurdle, Earps came away from Australia with the Golden Glove.

She was also named The Best Women's Goalkeeper in the World by FIFA in February.
