Mansfield Town have secured promotion to League One following a 2-1 win over Accrington Stanley at the One Call Stadium.

Tonight's victory guaranteed the Stags a place in the top three, with two games of the season left to play.

Fans were in confident mood going into the game after Saturday's 4-1 win over promotion rivals MK Dons put 5 points between the two sides.

The latest win means Town will play in the third tier of English football for the first time since regaining their place in the Football League back in 2013.

A party atmosphere is expected this weekend, with the Stags due to face Gillingham at home, a side who could still make the play-offs themselves.

The 2023-24 season will end with an away fixture at Barrow on Saturday 27th April.
