A man has been charged following a stabbing in Radford.

Police were called to reports of a man who had sustained stab wounds at an address in Gregory Boulevard shortly after 9pm on Friday.

The victim, in his 40s, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre where he was treated for injuries that are reported to be life-threatening. He has now been discharged from hospital.

A scene was put in place while investigation work was carried out.

Following police investigation at the scene, a resident of Gregory Boulevard, 48-year-old Jeremy Mullings, was charged with wounding with intent.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We believe this was an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.

“We hope the charging of this suspect will reassure local residents who may have been concerned by the police activity that took place at the address over the weekend.”

Jeremy Mullings is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on the 6th of January.
