The A511 was closed between the Ashby roundabout and the Hoo Ash Roundabout, after a lorry overturned.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "A report was received just after 8.30am that a lorry had overturned.

"A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. No life-threatening injuries have been reported."

Posting earlier on Facebook, police warned motorists to expect the road to remain closed for some time, urging people to find alternative routes.
