A delivery driver, who was robbed of parcels by three men, says one of them was carrying a gun.

The men reportedly got out of a silver Ford Mondeo on Southfields Drive, Eyres Monsell in Leicestershire just after 12.45 pm on Wednesday, threatening the delivery driver.

A number of parcels were taken, but Leicestershire Police say they found a number of parcels dumped in Aylestone Meadows later on.

No arrests have been made at this time and the victim was not injured during the incident.

Detective Inspector Kev Hames said: “Southfields Drive runs parallel with the A563 ring road so I’m sure there will have been people who saw what happened.

“I’m urgently appealing for anyone with information – and particularly motorists with dashcams – to come forward. I’d also ask anyone living in the area who has a doorbell or CCTV camera to get in touch."
