The Turkish side have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

The 27 year old defender who came through the club's academy joined the team in 2011 and has made 226 first team appearances for The Reds.

Meanwhile Nuno Espirito Santo is now focusing on Nottingham Forest's FA Cup fourth-round replay against Bristol City on Wednesday evening. Whoever wins at the City Ground will play Manchester United in the next round.

When asked about the fans' excitement at the prospect of facing United, Nuno told a press conference:

"Now we are focused on Bristol and it means a lot to us. Since the beginning I always considered the FA Cup a fantastic chance to fight for a trophy. This is what is in our minds. "It's the second leg of a competition we want to go through and we're going to face a difficult team, who in the first leg were tough. But we're going to try and solve it at the City Ground."
